Alpine A110 GT4 Car Setups For ACC

The Alpine A110 GT4 was first added to Assetto Corsa Competizione as part of the GT4 DLC pack in 2023. It is one of the fastest GT4 cars in ACC, thanks to its 1.8 litre turbocharged straight four engine which can produce 360bhp.

Performance characteristics of the Alpine A110 GT4 in ACC

While the 1.8 litre engine may only produce around 360bhp, which is lower than many other GT4 cars in Assetto Corsa Competizione. It is also an extremely light car at just 1080 kilograms. This lightweight chassis brings its power to weight ratio into a similar level as more powerful GT4 cars.

Thanks to it being the lightest GT4 car in ACC, the Alpine A110 GT4 excels in cornering, responsiveness and high minimum corner speeds. With the engine mounted behind the driver in a similar position to the McLaren 570S, the Alpine has excellent balance, and isn’t too front heavy.

It does still have a tendency to understeer on the approach to corners, especially slower turns. Despite this it will change direction very quickly, making it feel incredibly responsive. You can adjust your car setup to dial out some of the understeer under braking by adjusting elements such as the wheel rate and bump stops.

Creating a car setup for the Alpine A110 GT4 car

When you are creating a car setup for the Alpine A110 in ACC, there are a few key areas which can help you extract as much performance as possible.

    • Aerodynamic setup changes: The Alpine A110 GT4 does feature an adjustable rear wing, while the front splitter is fixed and non-adjustable. Small adjustments to the rear wing subtly impact the overall setup, but help fine-tune the car’s rear balance after other setup changes.
    • Suspension setup changes: Playing with and adjusting the suspension setup will help you find the most amount of performance from the small and lightweight Alpine A110. Stiffening the front suspension with both the bump stop and rebound setup options can assist in adding stability and a little extra responsiveness. If you are struggling with understeer on the entry to corners, lowering the preload differential can help the car dive into the apex a bit faster.
    • Brake setup changes: The Alpine A110 GT4 is incredibly light, which helps with overall braking performance. You can throw the car into corners fairly aggressively without as much consequence as you would find in heavier GT4 cars in Assetto Corsa Competizione. With more weight towards the rear of the car thanks to the engine positioning, you can also run a more neutral brake bias, as the rear brakes are less likely to lock compared to front engined GT4 cars.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Alpine A110 GT4 the fastest GT4 car in ACC?

While the Alpine A110 GT4 is underpowered compared to many GT4 cars in ACC, its lightweight chassis makes it one of the best overall performing GT4 cars. It won’t be the fastest along straights, making it vulnerable to being overtaken at more power sensitive circuits. However, it is one of the fastest and most nimble cars through fast corner segments.

Will the Alpine A110 GT4 fit my driving style?

If you are a sim racer who likes to really hustle a car through corner sequences, then the Alpine A110 GT4 may be a good fit. It has excellent braking stability and is very responsive while remaining stable under fast steering inputs.

Are there any downsides to the Alpine A110 GT4?

The real negatives and downsides of the A110 GT4 is its lack of straight line performance. With only 360bhp, it won’t win any drag races, and it may not perform as well at fast tracks such as Monza and Spa-Francorchamps.
